Third lockdown in all but name

The Government ought to be ashamed of its bared-faced deceit. If it is going to lock the whole country down, it should be straight with us say so.

The Government ought to be ashamed of its bared-faced deceit. If it is going to lock the whole country down, it should be straight with us say so, rather than attempt to fool us with some nonsense about ‘Tier’ this, that, and the other.

More than three quarters of the population will be living under the strictest level of lockdown restrictions (‘Tier Four’) from Thursday. A mere 2,000 people, living on the (until now unheard of to most) Isles of Scilly will be placed under 'Tier One' restrictions. All others will be forced into ‘Tier Three’.

What tosh. This is a full lockdown in all but name.

Just as the Government cheers on its regaining of our freedom from the European Union, it deals yet another blow to that very freedom — not to mention that also dealt to mental health, the economy, education, the treatment of anything but Covid, and, of course, to any sense of proportion.

Every British patriot has a duty not to vote for this wretched embarrassment of a ‘Conservative’ Party at the next election.
